Delco Teen Shot Saturday Was Person Of Interest In Another Death

UPPER DARBY, PA — A Delaware County teenager who was shot and killed in Philadelphia over the weekend was being investigated as a person of interest in connection with the death of a 12-year-old boy, reports state.
According to Action News, Tysheer Shahe Hankinson, 16 of Upper Darby, was shot and killed at about 1:05 a.m. Saturday on the 5400 block of Poplar Street in Philadelphia.
Fox 29 reports Hankinson was a person of interest in 12-year-old Hezekiah Bernard's death.

According to police, Bernard's body was found inside a trash can at 10:24 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23 at 5500 Cherry Street.
The body was discovered by Philadelphia Housing Authority sanitation workers.

Police said the trash can was in the back of a Philadelphia Housing Authority dump truck.
Bernard's cause of death was ruled as gunshots, and his manner of death was ruled homicide by the Medical Examiner’s Office, authorities said.
