Family Of 6 Displaced After Fire Tears Through Basement Of Delco House
The fire heavily damaged the basement, but firefighters say it didn't spread to the rest of the house.
SHARON HILL, PA — A family of six was displaced in a house fire Sunday evening in Delaware County, according to the Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
The fire broke out around 6:15 p.m. in the basement of a home on the 200 block of High Street in Sharon Hill, officials said.
Crews controlled the fire in 10 minutes, preventing it from spreading to the rest of the house, according to the Sharon Hill Fire Company.

A photo shared by the fire company shows heavy damage on the bottom floor.
The Red Cross says it assisted the displaced family.
