Dems Projected Winners In Delaware County Council, Sheriff Races
All Delco voting precincts have reported results, and preliminary tallies show Democrats will control the council and sheriff's office.
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Preliminary results of the 2021 municipal election show Democrats are keeping control of the Delaware County Council and sheriff's office.
All 428 precincts in Delaware County have reported results.
With all precincts reporting, preliminary tallies have Democrats Kevin Madden and Richard Womack handily defeating Republicans Frank Agovino and Joseph Lombardo Jr.

Below are vote counts for each:
- Madden (D) — 68,749
- Womack (D) — 69,396
- Agovino (R) — 62,029
- Lombardo (R) — 63,605
Additionally, Sheriff Jerry Sanders will keep his position. Sanders earned 72,031 votes, while Republican challenger Lawrence Weigand earned 64,549 votes in preliminary results.
