Discover Haverford Schools' History Wednesday At Haverford Twp. Free Library
Learn about Haverford schools starting from the land purchase in the late 1700s to today!
Have you ever wondered how our public schools came to be? Then come to the Haverford Township Free Library Wednesday at 7 p.m. for a history lesson on Haverford's public schools.
School District of Haverford Townships Webmaster and Technician Blu Taylor will give his presentation – titled The Fords Through History – on how the district was formed, starting at the first recorded land purchase for schooling in 1797 and ending at the district's most recent capital improvement projects.
Taylor will also discuss the district's building histories and changes that have occurred over the years.
