'DISCOVER' Science At Haverford High School This Weekend
Your family is invited to Dive Into Science, Come Observe, Verify, Explore, and Reflect, or DISCOVER, science topics and activities at HHS.

HAVERTOWN, PA – Get ready to "DISCOVER" science at Haverford High School this weekend with the School District of Haverford Township's first ever community science day.
The high school will host DISCOVER Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4.
DISCOVER stands for "Dive Into Science, Come Observe, Verify, Explore, and Reflect."

Rooms throughout the high school will host various scientific themes.
The rooms will include:

- Physics of Sound - instrument exploration
- Chemistry demonstrations
- Marine Science - Finding Nemo theme
- Jon the Bug Man - Bug Show
- Reptile room with small reptiles including snakes and lizards
- Carnival style science games
- Make-n-take – pollinator pods
- Make-n-take – scribble bot
The Physics of Sound and Chemistry Demonstration rooms will be the only ones that have scheduled times. The other rooms are unscheduled and families can spend as long or short as they wish.
Students are encouraged to spend time in each room and families can fill out a "scavenger hunt" style sheet to receive a stamp at each location. Completed forms can be turned in for a chance to win a prize.

Tickets are $3 per child and $5 per family.
Haverford High School is located at 200 Mill Road, Havertown.
