Haverford Police said a resident was scammed out of $7,500 by someone claiming to be from Lower Merion Police. See the full blotter here.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township released their latest crime blotter recently.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between June 11 and June 18.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

Incidents

  • Theft at Haverford Middle School, 1700 block of Darby Road, on June 11 at 2:57 p.m. – Electric scooter was stolen.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at the 1400 block of Windsor Park Lane on June 12 at 4:56 a.m.
  • Theft at the 2100 block of Darby Creek Road on June 12 at 1:06 p.m. – Prescription medication was stolen.
  • Fraud at the 200 block of Treaty Road on June 13 at 3:28 p.m. – Victim received a call from a person claiming to be from Lower Merion Police Department. They advised the victim that she missed jury duty and was to pay a $7,500 fee to avoid a warrant being placed out for her arrest. The victim recognized the scam and ended the call.   • Theft at the 800 block of Homestead Avenue on June 14 at 4:07 p.m. – A package containing cell phones was stolen after it was delivered.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 1500 block of Dorchester Road on June 15 at 7:20 p.m. – Residence was egged.
  • Disorderly Conduct at Rita’s, unit bock of W. Eagle Road, on June 16 at 8:44 p.m. – 42-year-old female was cited for disorderly conduct.
  • Theft at the YMCA, 800 block of N. Eagle Road, on June 17 at 5:06 p.m. – Victim reported that $250 was stolen from his locker.
  • Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on June 18 at 1:41 p.m. – An unknown female stole $427.64 worth of merchandise.

  • 40-year-old male, 300 block of Hartel Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Sunoco, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: June 12 at 2:24 a.m.
  • 38-year-old male, 2700 block of N. Broad Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Public drunkenness, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Vitamin Shoppe, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: June 13 at 10:51 a.m.
  • 21-year-old male, 1300 block of Market Street, Lynwood. Charges: Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, suspended driver’s license, no registration or valid insurance. Location: 1100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: June 14 at 10:53 p.m.
  • 56-year-old male, 2100 block of S. 67th Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Operating a vehicle without ignition interlock and speeding. Location: 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: June 14 at 3:35 p.m.
  • 27-year-old male, 200 block of Cedar Lane, Upper Darby. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia with the intent to deliver, suspended driver’s license and unregistered vehicle. Location: 400 block of Earlington Road. Date: June 17 at 11:15 p.m.
  • 33-year-old male, 600 block of Woodcrest Avenue, Lititz. Charges: Retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: June 17 at 6:48 p.m.
