DUI, Thefts, Fraud, Underage Drinking, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township released details on the latest crime incidents in the township.

Incidents occurred between Aug. 7 and Aug. 20.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

Incidents

• Theft at Bryn Mawr Terrace, 700 block of Haverford Road, on Aug. 7 at 12:33 p.m. – victim states that money was taken out of her purse.
• Theft at West Gate Hills Nursing and Rehab, 2000 block of Old West Chester Pike, on Aug. 7 at 7:04 p.m. – victim states that money was taken out of her wallet.
• Theft from Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Aug. 7 at 10:04 a.m. – an unknown actor walked out of the store with a cart full of groceries.
• Criminal Mischief in the 100 block of Rockwood Drive on Aug. 8 at 10:23 p.m. – victim was driving at the above location; two unknown actors threw a recycling bin at her vehicle cracking the windshield. Investigation is ongoing.
• Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Aug. 8 at 11:16 a.m. – unknown actors took $500 worth of merchandise; investigation is ongoing.
• Identity Theft in the 2800 block of Haverford Road on Aug. 9 at 12:51 p.m. – victim states that an unknown actor made purchases using her American Express credit card.
• Disorderly Conduct in the unit block of Colfax Road on Aug. 12 at 8:09 p.m. – 42-year-old male, 1200 block of Race Street, Philadelphia, was cited for Disorderly Conduct and Public Drunkenness.
• Theft in the 2400 block of Clover Lane on Aug. 12 at 7:01 p.m. – a sign was taken from a lawn.
• Liquor Laws in the 1400 block of Leedom Road on Aug. 13 at 12:52 a.m. – 18-year-old male, 1400 block of Leedom Road, Havertown was cited for Underage Drinking.
• Fraud in the 400 block of Glendale Road on Aug. 13 at 1:40 p.m. – victim states a pop-up window appeared on his laptop. Victim provided banking information.
• Criminal Mischief at the 900 block of Railroad Avenue on Aug. 14 at 11:27 a.m. – 24-year-old male, 200 block of Penn Blvd., East Lansdowne was cited for criminal mischief.
• Fraud at the 200 block of West Chester Pike on Aug. 14 at 5:54 p.m. – Victim reported several unauthorized charges to the Public Storage facility.
• Criminal Mischief at Sophie’s BBQ, 1900 block of Darby Road, on Aug. 15 at 11:21 a.m. – Window was shattered.
• Bicycle Theft at the 800 block of Cricket Avenue on Aug. 15 at 10:27 p.m.
• Theft of Services at the 600 block of Grand Avenue on Aug. 17 at 6:53 p.m. – Victim reported she paid a roofing company $9,500 to repair her roof. The workers began to remove shingles from the roof of the residence and then advised they would return the next day with materials and continue to work. They failed to return and discontinued communication.
• Identity theft at the 200 block of Rodney Circle on Aug. 19 at 10:24 a.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to file for unemployment benefits.
• Criminal Mischief at the 1000 block of Larchmont Avenue on Aug. 20 at 12:21 p.m. – Vehicle side view mirror was damaged.
• Fraud at the 900 block of Edgewood Road on Aug. 20 at 10:02 a.m. – Victim reported $804.16 worth of unauthorized purchases made with her credit card.

• 23-year-old male, 500 block of Georgetown Road, Wallingford. Charges: Arrested on Warrant. Location: unit block of Fairlamb Road. Date: Aug. 7 at 7:12 p.m.
• 22-year-old male, 400 block of Glendale Road, Upper Darby. Charges: Receiving Stolen Property. Location: 500 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Aug. 10 at 10:03 p.m.
• 30-year-old male, 4400 block of Township line Road, Drexel Hill. Charges: Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Possessing Instruments of Crime, Reckless Driving, Accident Involving Damage. Location: 2000 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Aug. 12 at 3:27 p.m.
• 30-year-old male, 500 block of King Street, Pottstown. Charges: Retail theft. Location: Giant (100 block of W. Township Line Road). Date: Aug. 16 at 2:08 p.m.
• 49-year-old female, 900 block of Concord Avenue, Drexel Hill. Charges: DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Benedict Avenue and Darby Road. Date: Aug. 17 at 1048 p.m.
• 57-year-old male, 8400 block of Lansdowne Avenue, Upper Darby. Charges: DUI, suspended driver’s license, no insurance or registration. Location: 2300 block of Haverford Road. Date: Aug. 17 at 1:05 a.m.
