Embezzlement, Theft, Fraud, DUI, More: Haverford Crime Blotter
Haverford Police said more than $67,700 was removed from a Quadrangle resident's bank account after his checkbook was found missing.
HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their latest crime blotter Wednesday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between Oct. 11 and Oct. 17.
The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

- Theft at Panera, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Oct. 11 at 3:44 p.m. – The victim reported that her driver’s license and credit card were stolen from her wallet while she left it unattended.
- Theft at Manoa Shopping Center, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Oct. 12 at 1:48 p.m. – An unlocked vehicle was entered – and a bag of clothing was stolen.
- Theft at the 2000 block of Darby Road on Oct. 12 at 6:09 p.m. – The victim reported five packages were stolen after they were delivered over the past month. The packages were left in a common room in her apartment complex.
- Theft at Haverford College, 300 block of Lancaster Avenue, on Oct. 12 at 10:16 a.m. – An employee reported that her wallet was stolen from her desk drawer.
- Embezzlement at Wawa, 1000 block of Darby Road, on Oct. 12 at 9:48 p.m. – The manager reported an employee stealing money from the register.
- Identity Theft at the 500 block of Covington Road on Oct. 13 at 2:45 p.m. – The victim reported that someone opened a credit card account using her identity. They also initiated a transfer from her checking account.
- Disorderly Conduct at the 1300 block of Annabella on Oct. 16 at 10:31 p.m. – A 31-year-old male, unit block of North Oak Avenue, Clifton Heights, was cited for disorderly conduct.
- Theft at the 600 block of Haverford Road on Oct. 16 at 5:57 p.m. – A cash box containing $160 and two checks was stolen from a drawer.
- Retail Theft at Ace Hardware, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Oct. 16 at 4:07 p.m. – Two males and two females stole approximately $2,000 worth of merchandise.
- Fraud at the Quadrangle, 3300 block of Darby Road, on Oct. 16 at 3:07 p.m. – The victim reported that her father’s checkbook went missing from his room in August. She later realized $67,708.01 was removed from his account.
- Criminal Mischief at the 1500 block of E. Darby Road on Oct. 16 at 8:26 a.m. – The victim reported that the plants on her front porch were damaged and the furniture was in disarray.
- Forgery at the 700 block of Polo Circle on Oct. 16 at 10:22 a.m. – The victim reported that someone altered and cashed a check after it was mailed.
- Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Oct. 17 at 7:29 a.m. – An unknown male stole $201.62 worth of groceries.
ARRESTS
- 53-year-old female, Homeless. Charges: Defiant trespass and firearm not to be carried without a license. Location: 700 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Oct. 11 at 12:45 p.m.
- 60-year-old male, 600 block of Lee Drive, Broomall. Charges: DUI, careless driving, accident causing damage to the unattended vehicle, and failure to notify the police. Location: 1500 block of Burmont Road. Date: Oct. 13 at 12:34 a.m.
