Archaeology and American History, an Outreach Lecture Program

HTFL and the Haverford Township Historical Society are teaming up to host Archaeology and American History, an Outreach Lecture Program sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archeology and Anthropology. The program explores how archaeologists and historians work together to discover what artifacts from the past can tell us about the story of America.

Using the Landingford Plantation on Chester Creek as an example, Widener University Professor Mitchell Rothman makes the link between archaeology and American history through his slide lecture. The Landingford Plantation has the oldest continuous standing house (Caleb Pusey House) in Southeastern PA.

The program is free and open to the public.
