Mr. Gardner established the award-winning Seventh Heaven select choir in 1980. The auditioned seventh and eighth grade students performed approximately 20 concerts during the school year. A Seventh Heaven tradition included singing “Kenya Melodies” by Robert I. Hugh; alumni of the renowned choir were always invited on stage to join in to sing the memorable a cappella tune.
