Surrey Services for Seniors begins a series on Aging Issues
at the Haverford Township Free Library on Friday, December 2, from 12:00 noon
to 1:30pm. The first in this series is “Grandparenting in the 21st
Century,” where we will explore what it means to be a grandparent in today’s
rapidly changing world. The program will discuss the decisions grandparents
need to make—from deciding what name to have the grandkids call you to the
different styles of grandparenting and choosing which style works best for
you. This program is informative to both those that
have been in the grandparent role for quite a while and Baby Boomers who are
becoming grandparents for the very first time. Join us for a Brown Bag Lunch as
we discuss some of the challenges and opportunities of what it means to be a
grandparent today. The series will be
led by Julie Chippendale, MSS, LCSW.
Julie has more than 20 years of experience in the field of geriatrics.
