For the 21st consecutive year, Haverford College will hold a series of baseball clinics for children ages seven to fourteen. The college's baseball team will provide instruction on a specific skill - hitting, pitching, baserunning, infield or outfield play - in each of the six two-hour clinics.
The first clinic is Sunday, January 22 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and the other five clinics are: Sunday, January 29 (4 p.m. to 6 p.m.); Sunday, February 5 (4 p.m. to 6 p.m.); Sunday, February 12 (4 p.m. to 6 p.m.); Sunday, February 19 (4 p.m. to 6 p.m.); and Sunday, February 26 (4 p.m. to 6 p.m.).
All of the clinics are held in Haverford College's Alumni Field House, and parking is available in the south visitor's lot.
Each two-hour clinic is $30 per participant, and registration will be available at the door. For those interested in pre-registering for all six clinics at a discounted rate of $150 per participant, please send your check (made payable to "Haverford College") along with your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address to: Dave Beccaria, Head Baseball Coach, Haverford College, 370 Lancaster Avenue, Haverford, PA 19041.
Proceeds from the clinics help to support the Haverford College baseball team's spring trip to Ft. Myers, Fla.
Participants should bring gloves, sneakers and baseball caps. The college's baseball team will provide all other necessary equipment.
For more information about these baseball clinics, please contact Haverford College's head baseball coach, Dave Beccaria, at 610-896-1172 or at dbeccari@haverford.edu.
