Haverford Township Day is scheduled for Saturday, October 2, 2010. Most of the activities are on several blocks of Darby road in Havertown. The road is closed to traffic for most of the day. This annual day is a great time. Like most events of this type it's weather dependent. This event appeals to different folks for different reasons.
* If you have kids the parade is great.
* There are approximately a zillion craft booths.
* There is a 5k charity run for the exercise inclined.
* Food! Many of the Havertown restaurants set up tables on their sidewalks. This is especially true of the restaurants on Brookline Blvd. There are also many other food booths.
* Live music adds to the festivities!
