Angela Hewett, curator of the Thomas Leiper House in Wallingford, will be our guest speaker at our public meeting. Angela will read various love letters that were written through the years by the Leiper Family. Also on hand will be the wedding dress, shoes, and invitation of the 1890 wedding of Thomas' great-granddaughter. Thomas Leiper was a local merchant who operated a tabacco and snuff mill as well as several quarries. He also served as a lieutenant in the Revolutionary War. The meeting is free and open to all. Light refreshments will follow.
