Beaumont at Bryn Mawr Hosts “Moving into Retirement,” a Panel Discussion With Dr. Dan Gottlieb, on December 3rd, 2011
Free and open to the public, Dr. Dan Gottlieb, host of WHYY’s “Voices in the Family,” will lead a panel discussion on December 3rd at 1:00 p.m., preceded by a light lunch at 12:00 p.m. The discussion will focus on the difficult questions that face retirees and their children as they prepare to make the move into retirement: When, how, and who will help?

Dan Gottlieb has been a practicing psychologist since 1969. He was involved in a near-fatal automobile accident that left him paralyzed from the chest down. Dan faced these circumstances courageously and from the devastation began the next chapter in his life. He is now the author of four books, a Philadelphia Inquirer column with a 15 year print-span and the host of WHYY’s “Voices in the Family.” No stranger to adversity and change, Dan will lead this informative discussion about moving into retirement.

The panel consists of Willo Carey, Margit Novack, and Peter Hecht. Willo Carey is the Executive Director of WHYY’s “Wider Horizons” service as well as the past vice chair of the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging, and a member of the advisory board for the University of Pennsylvania’s Institute on Aging. Margit Novack is the president of Moving Solutions, a moving consulting firm with a particular focus on retirees. Peter Hecht, CFP®, is a First Vice-President of Investments for UBS, specializing in retirement planning.
