Join Ms. Shannon for an afternoon of American Sign Language instruction and a Deaf history discussion! Learn how ASL originated in the United States; the names and backgrounds of important people in Deaf history; assistive devices used by Deaf people; and MOST FUN, basic conversational signs to use when you meet a Deaf individual.

Ms. Julia from the Handwork Studio will be at HTFL for a hands on, 2-hour workshop where participants will create a crafty tool belt. Learn/practice techniques like hand sewing, machine sewing, and embroidery.
