Verizon will continue its Cybersafe Philly program with a second free cybersafety summit at Haverford High School in Havertown, with special guest Tina Meier, founder of The Megan Meier Foundation and one of the nation's most sought-after speakers on the topics of cyberbullying and cybersafety. Meier's daughter, Megan, took her life in 2006 at the age of 13, after becoming victim to a cyberbullying attack orchestrated by an adult and teenager who lived down the street from her family.
With the danger of cyberbullying and online predators facing area children daily, Verizon has pledged to educate parents and students across the Delaware Valley about the importance of proactive and preventative measures to ensure the safe and effective use of technology. This is the second of 10 planned Cybersafe Philly summits across southeastern Pennsylvania. All summits will be free and open to all parents in the community!
