Fatal New Year's Eve Shooting Lands Delco Man Life In Prison

LANSDOWNE, PA — A Delaware County man who shot and killed his ex-girlfriend's brother following a New Year's Eve party in Norristown in 2020 has been sentenced to life in prison, a Montgomery County judge ruled this week.

Nyjeah White, 28, of Lansdowne, was sentenced by Judge William Carpenter, according to court documents.

The incident occurred on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020 in an alley on the 1200 block of Markley Street.

White went outside to talk to the victim, 36-year-old Rasheed Bundy, at some point around 9:30 p.m., according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.

Security footage showed Bundy leaving his home on the block and entering the alley, just two doors away, to meet White, police said.

In the ensuing moments, White shot Bundy several times, and when police arrived they found Bundy dead, they said.

White was immediately charged with first and third degree murder and firearms charges. He remained on the run for months until U.S. Marshals captured him in the Germantown section of Philadelphia on March 19, 2021

He remains booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
