Forgery, Theft, Fraud, Vandalism, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Haverford Township Police issued their latest crime blotter recently.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Oct. 4 and Oct. 9.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

INCIDENTS

• Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Oct. 4 at 12:42 p.m. – An unknown female stole $548.94 worth of merchandise.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Oct. 4 at 3:59 p.m. – An unknown male stole seven pairs of sneakers.
• Identity Theft at the 600 block of Hazelwood Road on Oct. 4 at 9:43 a.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a Verizon account using her identity and purchased an iPhone.
• Forgery at TD Bank, 100 block of W. Eagle Road, on Oct. 5 at 11:04 a.m. – On Oct. 3 an unknown female attempted to cash a fraudulent Savings Bond.
• Forgery at TD Bank, 100 block of W. Eagle Road, on Oct. 5 at 12:10 p.m. – Two unknown males attempted to withdraw money at the drive thru from an account that did not belong to them.
• Forgery at the 1600 block of Greenway Road on Oct. 5 at 11:24 a.m. – A check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
• Fraud at Haverford College, 300 block of Lancaster Avenue, on Oct. 6 at 4:25 p.m. – Victim reported that someone withdrew $4,300 from her bank account.
• Vandalism at the 600 block of Lancaster Avenue on Oct. 6 at 12:20 p.m. – Vehicle was keyed.
• Vandalism at the unit block of Ralston Avenue on Oct. 7 at 11:26 a.m. – Chain link fence was damaged.
• Criminal Mischief at Darby Creek Trail on Oct. 8 at 8:26 a.m. – Graffiti was discovered.
• Theft at Acme, 600 block of Lancaster Avenue on Oct. 9 at 5:20 p.m. – Victim reported that her wallet was stolen from her purse while she shopped.
• Theft at the 400 block of Manoa Road on Oct. 9 at 3 p.m. – Victim reported prescription medication missing from her medicine cabinet.
• Forgery at the unit block of Marthart Avenue on Oct. 9 at 8:47 a.m. – A check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.

ARRESTS

• 64-year-old male, 1700 block of Wynsam Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft. Location: Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Oct. 4 at 3:19 p.m.
• 24-year-old male, unit block of Ridge Road, Phoenixville. Charges: Retail theft and possession of marijuana. Location: Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Oct. 5 at 11:59 a.m.
• 50-year-old male, Homeless. Charges: Possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: Oct. 7 at 9:20 a.m.
• 30-year-old female, unit block of Oklahoma State Drive, Newark, Delaware. Charges: Retail theft. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Oct. 8 at 6:09 p.m.
