Frank's Deli: Neighborhood Deli, Corner Market and Candy Shop
This week Patch reviews Frank's Deli in Havertown.
Nowadays, multi-functioning is the name of the game. Our phones can record our voices, take photos, organize our schedules, hold all our e-mail contacts and of course make phone calls. Super stores exist where you can buy all your groceries, electronic appliances, CDs, prescription medications and even home furnishings.
is a multi-functioning business of its own not because it's trendy and modern but because it's the way it's been done for the past 25 years.
Yes, there is a deli where you can grab a delicious hoagie or hamburger and fries. Maybe you want to just grab some cold cuts and makes some sandwiches at home. Don't have bread or mustard? They have all those things at Frank's Deli too.

Perhaps you forgot to pick up some laundry detergent the last time you were at the store. They have it at Frank's Deli too.
In addition there are refrigerator cases filled with any drink you could possibly want from basics like milk and juice to iced tea, beer and Hugs (these really sugary drinks that I hadn't seen in decades).

Although the turkey hoagie ($6.99) I ordered was delicious (great bread, thinly sliced turkey, provolone, fresh shredded lettuce and just a drizzle of oil and shake of oregano), I was most amazed by the candy selection. It was epic. I don't know that I have ever encountered so much candy in a non-candy shop in my life. I picked up some Boston Baked Beans (sugar coated peanuts) and pretzel M&Ms (my new favorite variety) for dessert. The ice cream case is stocked as well.
Frank's Deli is nestled on the corner of a residential block and you could very well miss it. I'm glad I got to discover this one-stop shop where I can find a good hoagie, some groceries, a candy bonanza, a six pack and the newspaper, it's kind of like a super charged bodega (those convenient stores in New York City that carry maybe a fraction of the stuff that Frank's does at double the cost).
Oh yeah, they also have lottery tickets there, in case you're feeling lucky.
