Fraud, DUI, Theft, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

Someone posing as a police officer threatened a worker at a business with arrest for counterfeiting, police said. See the full blotter here.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford have issued details on recent crimes in the township.

These incidents occurred between Oct. 23 and Nov. 5.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

  • Theft at Bryn Mawr Terrace, 700 block of Haverford Road, on Oct. 23 at 11:58 p.m. – Victim reported that $65 was stolen from his room.
  • Theft at the 200 block of Stanton Road on Oct. 24 at 9:02 p.m. – Prescription medication was stolen from the residence.
  • Theft at the YMCA, 800 block of N. Eagle Road, on Oct. 24 at 9:53 p.m. – Apple AirPods were stolen from a bag on the bleachers.
  • Retail Theft at Rite Aid, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Oct. 24 at 2:17 p.m. – An unknown male stole $26.90 worth of merchandise.
  • Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Oct. 25 at 11:27 a.m. – Two unknown males stole three pairs of sneakers and a comforter.
  • Theft at the 2700 block of Overbrook Terrace on Oct. 26 at 8:49 p.m. – Political sign was stolen.
  • Theft at Haverford Middle School, 1700 block of Darby Road, on Oct. 26 at 6:06 p.m. – Electric scooter was stolen from the bike rack.
  • Fraud at the 2900 block of Haverford Road on Oct. 28 at 1:33 p.m. – Victim reported that someone accessed his American Airlines account and redeemed 14,000 miles worth $140.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at the unit block of Woodbine Road on Oct. 28 at 9:59 p.m.
  • Bicycle Thefts at the 2400 block of Wynnefield Drive on Oct. 28 at 9:28 a.m.
  • Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Oct. 28 at 9:47 p.m. – An unknown male stole $157.34 worth of merchandise.
  • Attempted Burglary at the 100 block of Highland Lane on Oct. 29 at 2:19 a.m. Multiple attempted entry points were observed. Entry was not gained and nothing was reported missing.
  • Identity Theft at the 100 block of Harding Avenue on Oct. 30 1 p.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a T-Mobile account using her identity.
  • Fraud at the Llanerch Country Club, 900 block of West Chester Pike, on Oct. 30 at 1:10 p.m. – Victim reported that a check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
  • Theft at the 2600 block of Darby Road on Oct. 30 at 10:45 a.m. – Two antique solid wood doors valued at $2,000.00 were stolen from an unsecured POD storage unit in the victim’s driveway.
  • Identity Theft at the 1700 block of Academy Lane on Oct. 31 at 11:40 a.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a Verizon account using his identity.
  • Public Drunkenness at JD McGillicuddy’s, unit block of Brookline Boulevard, on Oct. 31 at 8:10 p.m. – 68-year-old male, 300 block of Kenmore Road was cited for public drunkenness.
  • Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Oct. 31 at 10:08 p.m. – Two females and a male subject stole $629.59 worth of merchandise.
  • Attempted Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Oct. 31 at 12:48 p.m. – An unknown male stole a water heater valued at $499.99. The suspect abandoned the merchandise when he was approached by an employee.
  • Retail Theft at Rite Aid, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Oct. 31 at 9:35 a.m. – The store manager reported that an unknown actor stole $1,340.00 worth of skin care products.
  • Fraud at Smoothie King, 1200 block of West Chester Pike, on Nov. 1 at 8:09 p.m. – An employee reported that she received a phone call from an unknown male who identified himself as a police officer. The caller accused the employee of counterfeiting and advised her the only way to avoid prison was to provide him with $500 worth of gift cards.
  • Theft at Wyndmor Apartments, 100 block of S. Eagle Road, on Nov. 1 at 4:24 p.m. – Victim reported that his Louis Vuitton slides were stolen.
  • Theft at the 800 block of Dover Road on Nov. 1 at 7:40 p.m. – An iPhone was stolen after it was delivered.
  • Bicycle Theft at the 700 block of Oakview Road on Nov. 1 at 9:35 a.m.
  • Theft at the 1500 block of Dorchester Road on Nov. 2 at 11:25 a.m. – Forced entry was made into the trunk of a vehicle and the spare tire was stolen.
  • Theft at the 2300 block of Haverford Road on Nov. 2 at 3:40 p.m. – The victim reported that nine art prints valued at $4,900.00 were stolen from the packaging before they were delivered.
  • Theft at the 2600 block of Saint Davids Lane on Nov. 2 at 9:19 p.m. – Halloween lights valued at $50.00 were stolen.
  • Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Nov. 2 at 2044 hours – An unknown male scanned and paid for one bag of potato chips and left the store with a cart full of groceries worth $1,542.25.
  • Theft at the 100 block of Hastings Avenue on Nov. 3 at 1:24 p.m. – Political sign was stolen.
  • Theft at the unit block of Fairfield Road on Nov. 3 at 11:25 a.m. – Two juveniles stole a political flag. A large group of juveniles were found to be in possession of numerous political signs and the flag.
  • Theft at the 500 block of Manoa Road on Nov. 3 at 1:17 p.m. – Vehicle was entered – two sets of car keys were stolen.
  • Theft at the 1700 block of Ridgeway Road on Nov. 4 at 10:01 a.m. – Political sign was stolen.
  • Fraud at the 2500 block of Wynnefield Drive on Nov. 4 at 10:42 a.m. – Victim reported two unauthorized purchases made with her credit card.
  • Theft at the 100 block of Washington Avenue on Nov. 5 at 6:43 p.m. – Political sign was stolen.

  • 44 - year - old male, 100 block of E. Turnbull Avenue, Havertown. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: 100 block of E. Turnbull Avenue. Date: Oct. 18 at 6:32 a.m.
  • 54-year-old male, 1400 block of Windsor Park Lane, Havertown. Charges: DUI. Location: 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Oct. 22 at 9:08 a.m.
  • 36-year-old male, 200 block of Pilgrim Lane, Drexel Hill. Charges: Accidents involving injury, failure to stop and render aid, accident involving damage to attended vehicle and reckless driving. Location: 1300 block of Leedom Road. Date: Oct. 24 at 7:43 a.m.
  • 25-year-old male, 2900 block of Kensington Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail Theft. Location: Rite Aid, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Oct. 26 at 1:30 p.m.
  • 36-year-old male, 1400 block of Dekalb Street, Norristown. Charges: Retail theft, criminal mischief, evading arrest and possession of a controlled substance. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Oct. 29 at 1:51 p.m.
