Police report several instances each of identity theft and fraud over the past two weeks. See details on these incidents and more here.
HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their latest crime blotter recently.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between April 12 and April 25.
The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

- Identity Theft at the 700 block of Ardmore Avenue on April 12 at 11:25 a.m. – Victim reported that someone has been using his social security number and contact information for work purposes. The victim has not suffered a loss at this time.
- Identity Theft at the 600 block of Ellis Road on April 12 at 11:49 a.m. – Victim reported that his identity was used to open a Verizon account and purchase an I-phone.
- Identity Theft at the unit block of Colonial Road on April 12 at 1:41 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to take out a loan.
- Public Drunkenness at Lancaster and Martin Avenues on April 12 at 11:09 p.m. – 71-year-old male, 800 block of Penn Street, Bryn Mawr was cited for public drunkenness.
- Bicycle Theft at Wawa, unit block of E. Eagle Road, on April 14 at 3:53 p.m.
- Theft at the 100 block of Shawnee Road on April 14 at 10:19 p.m. – Victim reported jewelry and watches stolen from her bedroom.
- Identity Theft at the 500 block of Lawrence Road on April 14 at 12:25 p.m. – Victim reported someone used her identity to open two credit card accounts and made over $1,000 in purchases.
- Fraud at the 100 block of Lewis Road on April 14 at 9:21 a.m. – Victim reported that a person known to her made multiple unauthorized purchases with her credit card.
- Theft at Barnaby’s, 1900 block of Old West Chester Pike, on April 15 at 7:35 p.m. – Victim reported that her wallet was stolen from her purse. The wallet contained driver’s license, Medicare card and three credit cards. Multiple unauthorized purchase were made with the credit cards.
- Theft at the 300 block of Greenbriar Lane on April 21 at 4:17 p.m. – Victim reported money missing from her safe.
- Vandalism at the Vitamin Shoppe, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on April 21 at 2:08 p.m. – The wires were cut to the internet box located outside of the store.
- Theft at the 100 block of Old Forest Road on April 22 at 10:23 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – loose change was stolen.
- Criminal Mischief at the 100 block of Rockwood Drive on April 22 at 7:51 a.m. – Vehicle tires were slashed.
- Public Drunkenness at the 1000 block of West Chester Pike on April 22 at 2:01 a.m. – 39-year-old male, 3700 block of School Lane, Newtown Square was cited for public drunkenness.
- Retail Theft at Wine and Spirits, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on April 23 at 5:37 p.m. – An unknown female stole two bottles of liquor valued at $72.78.
- Theft at the 200 block of Flintlock Road on April 24 at 4:46 a.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
- Theft at the unit block of Fairhaven Road on April 24 at 10:32 a.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
- Theft at the 1400 block of Burmont Road on April 24 at 12:21 p.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
- Theft at the 800 block of Ardmore Avenue on April 24 at 2:52 p.m. – Victim reported two trays of potted plants removed from her rear yard.
- Forgery at the unit block of Crescent Hill Drive on April 24 at 10:59 a.m. – A check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
- Fraud at the 100 block of Carnarvon Lane on April 24 at 9:18 a.m. – Victim reported that someone used his Walmart account to purchase $350 worth of merchandise.
- Identity Theft at the 1900 block of Lawrence Road on April 24 at 5 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to take out a loan.
- Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on April 25 at 4:21 p.m. – Loss Prevention officer observed an unknown male walk out with men’s clothing and shoes.
- Fraud at the unit block of Colfax Road on April 25 at 1:34 p.m. – Victim reported that she left her wallet at Smoothie King. She return to retrieve the wallet and found that it was missing credit cards and $10. An unauthorized $322.99 purchase was made with one of the cards.
ARRESTS:
- 22-year-old male, 2600 block of Chestnut Avenue, Ardmore. Charges: DUI, accidents involving damage to unattended property and careless driving. Location: 200 block of E. Eagle Road. Date: April 18 at 4:52 a.m.
- 35-year-old male, 4000 block of Oxford Street, Annandale, Virginia. Charges: Possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: 2400 block of Darby Road. Date: April 25 at 9:33 a.m.
- 27-year-old female, 21000 block of Shandy Wood Terrace, Broadlands, Virginia. Charges: Possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: 2400 block of Darby Road. Date: April 25 at 9:33 a.m.
