Fraud, Vehicle Theft, Assault, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued the latest crime blotter recently.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Feb. 14 and March 4.

Incidents:

• Theft at the 300 block of E. Manoa Road on Feb. 14 at 10:41 a.m. – Victim reported that two unknown actors stole two trashcans filled with copper.
• Retail Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Feb. 14 at 5:39 p.m. – An unknown male stole two bouquets of flowers.
• Disorderly Conduct at the 2300 block of Haverford Road on Feb. 15 at 8:38 a.m. – 29-year-old male, unit block of Race Street, Trenton, New Jersey was cited for disorderly conduct.
• Theft at Giant,100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Feb. 15 at 12:03 p.m. – Victim reported that her purse was stolen from her shopping cart while she shopped.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s,200 block of West Chester Pike, on Feb. 15 at 10:09 a.m. – An unknown male stole $619.92 worth of merchandise.
• Theft at the 400 block of Glendale Road on Feb. 16 at 4:09 p.m. – Victim reported that she hired a contractor to work on her residence. The contractor did not complete the work and when he left he took the key fob and four bins.
• Theft at Acme, 600 block of W. Lancaster Avenue, on Feb. 18 at 5:21 p.m. – An unknown male concealed items in his jacket and fled the store. The items were later recovered.
• Theft at the 1000 block of Hunters Lane on Feb. 19 at 0816 hours – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
• Theft at Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation, 900 block of Railroad Avenue, on Feb. 19 at 2:37 p.m. – Victim reported that $60 was removed from her purse.
• Fraud at Good Shepard Dental Care, 600 block of Haverford Road, on Feb. 20 at 11:14 a.m. – The owner reported that someone fraudulently cashed a check for $5,000.
• Identity Theft at the 200 block of Walnut Hill Lane on Feb. 20 at 2:10 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to make six unauthorized purchases.
• Theft at the 1000 block of Allston Road on Feb. 21 at 11:40 a.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Attempted Motor Vehicle Theft at the 1400 block of Windsor Park Lane on Feb. 21 at 11:03 a.m. – Victim reported that someone removed the electrical panel in the front passenger seat area and several wires were cut.
• Attempted Motor Vehicle Theft at the 300 block of Sagamore Road on Feb. 22 at 7:40 a.m. – Passenger rear window was smashed out. The victim observed a screwdriver laying on the center console and the ignition ripped out from the steering wheel area.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Feb. 22 at 9:35 p.m. – An unknown female stole $535 worth of merchandise.
• Criminal Mischief at the YMCA, 800 block of N. Eagle Road, on Feb. 24 at 2:30 p.m. – 33-year-old male, 300 block of Marple Road, Broomall was cited with criminal mischief for keying a vehicle.
• Fraud at the Quadrangle, 3300 block of Darby Road, on Feb. 24 at 1:18 p.m. – Victim reported that two checks were fraudulently cashed.
• Identity Theft at the 600 block of Valley Road on Feb. 25 at 11:28 a.m. – Victim reported that two credit cards were opened using her identity.
• Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Feb. 26 at 9:02 a.m. – An unknown female stole $484.06 worth of merchandise and fled the store.
• Theft at the 100 block of Landover Road on Feb. 27 at 3:17 p.m. – Victim reported that a package was stolen after it was delivered.
• Theft at the 300 block of Old Forest Road on Feb. 27 at 10:05 a.m. – Victim reported jewelry missing from her bedroom.
• Theft at the 2500 block of Bryn Mawr Avenue on Feb. 27 at 5:22 p.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Fraud at the 2600 block of Ashwood Drive on Feb. 29 at 8:17 a.m. – An unknown actor gained access to the victim’s American Airlines account and redeemed $3,434 worth of miles.
• Theft at the 700 block of Ardmore Avenue on Feb. 29 at 12:43 p.m. – Two watches, necklace and personal paperwork were stolen from a safe.
• Criminal Mischief at the 600 block of Woodcrest Avenue on March 1 at 1:02 a.m. – Vehicle window was smashed out.
• Fraud at the 2500 block of Belmont Avenue on March 1 at 4:02 p.m. –Victim reported that her American Airlines loyalty miles had been fraudulently accessed and transferred.
• Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on March 1 at 8:24 a.m. – Loss prevention officer reported that on Feb. 20 and Feb. 27 the same female stole a hamper filled with merchandise.
• Retail Theft at Acme, 600 block of W. Lancaster Avenue, on March 2 at 10 a.m. – Two unknown males stole approximately $450 worth of merchandise.
• Theft at the 500 block of S. Eagle Road on March 3 at 8:09 a.m. – Vehicle window was shattered – $5 and a Wiffle Ball was taken.
• Identity Theft at the 1500 block of Dickinson Road on March 3 at 7:04 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to add a phone line to his Verizon account.
• Fraud at the 100 block of Green Lane on March 4 at 1:38 p.m. – Victim reported an unauthorized transaction in her checking account.
• Motor Vehicle Theft at Hollow Run Apartments, 1900 block of West Chester Pike, on March 4 at 4:17 p.m.
• Theft at the unit block of Meadows Lane on March 5 at 1:47 p.m. – Victim reported that his Rolex watch was stolen from a jewelry box.

• 36-year-old male, 100 block of W. Hillcrest Avenue, Havertown. Charges: DUI. Location: Wawa, unit block of E. Eagle Road. Date: Feb. 16 at 12:03 a.m.
• 68-year-old male, 400 block of Llanerch Avenue, Havertown. Charges: DUI and careless driving. Location: unit block of Mifflin Avenue. Date: Feb. 17 at 5:10 p.m.
• 51-year-old male, 7600 block of Brockton Road, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft, evading arrest by foot, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Kohl’s,200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Feb. 17 at 2:29 p.m.
• 44-year-old male, unit block of Colonial Drive, Havertown. Charges: DUI and careless driving. Location: South Manoa and South Eagle Roads. Date: Feb. 18 at 10:23 p.m.
• 34-year-old male, 700 block of Buck Lane, Haverford. Charges: Burglary, criminal trespass, possessing an instrument of crime, terroristic threats, simple assault, criminal mischief and harassment. Location: 700 block of Buck Lane. Date: Feb. 20 at 11:37 a.m.
• 32-year-old male, 4400 block of Van Kirk Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. Location: Garfield Avenue and Harding Avenue. Date: Feb. 25 at 1:10 p.m.
• 34-year-old male, 1000 block of Edgewood Road, Havertown. Charges: Retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Feb. 25 at 12:44 p.m.
• 34-year-old male, 1000 block of Edgewood Road, Havertown. Charges: Retail theft and evading arrest. Location: Kohl’s,200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: March 2 at 4:56 p.m.
• 52-year-old female, unit block of Evergreen Avenue, Broomall. Charges: Theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and driving without a license. Location: Hollow Run Apartments,1900 block of West Chester Pike. Date: March 4 at 4:17 p.m.
• 51-year-old male, 800 block of Kenmore Road, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail Theft. Location: Giant,100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: Feb. 28 at 2:04 p.m.
