'Ghost' Guns, Gun Components Found During Delco Property Search

DARBY, PA — Authorities in Delaware County last week found two men in possession of "ghost" guns and materials to make them after being called to a post office for a report of a person with a gun.

The incident started at 2:18 p.m. Friday, June 7 when Darby Borough Police were called to the area of the Darby Post Office for a subject with a gun.

Witnesses there said two men in the area were armed with and provided police with their descriptions.

Police said a person matching one of the suspect's descriptions was seen going into the back of a home on the 100 block of Summit Street, just a few blocks away.

Authorities surrounded the home, and Penn Wood Middle School was placed on lockdown.

Eventually, two men — identified as Shane Lannon, 21, of Clifton Heights, and Miguel Anaglate, 20, of Darby — came out and were detained, police said.

One of the witnesses identified Lannon as one of the people seen brandishing a firearm earlier, police said.

Authorities obtained a search warrant for the Summit Street property and inside they found two loaded and operable polymer firearms, also known as "ghost" guns; components that allow fully automatic shooting of a firearm; a duffle bag containing a polymer slide; molds for polymer frames; a 3D printer, which are commonly used to make polymer "ghost" guns and the fully automatic components; and tools used to assemble these firearms.

Lannon and Anaglate were both charged with felony firearm violations.

They are both being held on 10 percent of $250,000 bail and are scheduled for Friday preliminary hearings, court records show.

Court documents also show Lannon is awaiting a formal arraignment on DUI and drug related charges stemming from a March 9 incident in Ridley Township.
