Haverford Appoints Interim Ward 1 Commissioner

The commissioners Monday voted to appoint Brian Gondek as the 1st Ward's Interim Commissioner.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — The 1st Ward in Haverford Township once again has representation on the township's board of commissioners.

At Monday's board of commissioners meeting, Brian Gondek was appointed to serve the 1st Ward until at least the general election in November.

The board voted unanimously to appoint Gondek, who was sworn in immediately after the vote.

No other names were floated as interim 1st Ward commissioners during the meeting.

Gondek is taking over the seat formerly occupied by Steve D'Emilio, who left the seat on April 11.

He will serve until the first regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners following the November election, at which someone will be elected to complete D'Emilio's unexpired term.
