Haverford Crime Blotter: Burglary, Fraud, Thefts, More

Someone broke into an apartment, ransacked the place, and poured bleach around the place last week, Haverford Police said. See details here.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township released their latest crime blotter recently.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between June 22 and June 28.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

  • Theft at the 2600 block of Haverford Road on June 22 at 7:35 a.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle. Fraud at the 300 block of Rittenhouse Circle on June 22 at 4:35 p.m. – Victim reported that someone made seven unauthorized purchases with her debit card.
  • Vandalism at the 500 block of Twin Oaks Road on June 22 at 8:43 a.m. – Residence was egged.
  • Vandalism at the 100 block of Hillcrest Avenue on June 22 at 2:58 p.m. – Vehicle rear window was shattered.
  • Burglary at the 100 block of S. Eagle Road on June 23 at 2:22 a.m. – Apartment was ransacked. Bleach was poured on the floor, bed and clothing. A camera and purse containing $130, credit cards, social security card and keys.
  • Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Road, on June 23 at 6:45 p.m. – An unknown male stole $541.95 worth of groceries.
  • Forgery at the 300 block of Cherry Lane on June 23 at 2:45 p.m. – A check was altered and someone attempted to cash it.
  • Fraud at the 800 block of Merion Avenue on June 23 at 8:57 a.m. – Victim reported that someone gained access to her Amazon account and purchased three Nintendo Switch game consoles.
  • Criminal Mischief at the Haverford Middle School, 1700 block of East Darby Road, on June 24 at 8:14 a.m. – The snack bar was entered and vandalized. Over $800 worth of damages were reported.
  • Retail Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on June 25 at 6:15 p.m. – An unknown male stole approximately $200 worth of soap and fled the store.
  • Theft at the 600 block of Railroad Avenue on June 25 at 9:06 a.m. – Victim reported that two vehicles were entered – a checkbook, earrings and makeup were stolen.
  • Theft at the 700 block of Rugby Road on June 25 at 2:05 a.m. – Vehicle was entered – USB charging port was stolen.
  • Attempted Theft at the 800 block of Martin Avenue on June 25 at 2:05 a.m. – Victim observed an unknown male exit her vehicle. The subject fled when confronted. Nothing was reported missing.
  • Attempted Theft at the 800 block of Martin Avenue on June 25 at 2:06 a.m. – Vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Identity Theft at the 100 block of Washington Avenue on June 25 at 9:28 a.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to file for unemployment benefits.
  • Theft at Domino’s Pizza, unit block of S. Eagle Road, on June 26 at 5:22 p.m. – The manager reported that an employee stole $300 from the business.
  • Fraud at the 2100 block of Belvedere Avenue on June 26 at 9:42 a.m. – Victim reported two unauthorized withdraws made from his checking account.
  • Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on June 27 at 7:41 p.m. – An unknown male stole approximately $360 worth of merchandise.
  • Fraud at the 1300 block of Warren Avenue on June 27 at 11:20 a.m. – Victim reported that an unauthorized withdrawal was made from her checking account.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 1400 block of Sunny Hill Lane on June 27 at 8:35 a.m. – Lamp post was damaged.
  • Theft at the Haverford Dog park, 9000 block of Parkview Drive, on June 28 at 4:50 p.m. – Vehicle window was shattered – a purse containing several credit cards, driver's license and gift cards was stolen.
  • Theft at the 800 block of Martin Avenue on June 28 at 10:15 a.m. – Vehicle was entered – a handicapped placard and sunglasses were stolen.
  • Forgery at the 1200 block of Garfield Avenue on June 28 at 6:25 p.m. – A check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
  • Fraud at the unit block of Waverly Road on June 28 at 12:19 p.m. – Victim reported two unauthorized withdraws from his bank account.

ARRESTS:

  • 57-year-old female, 600 block of Fox Fields Road, Bryn Mawr. Charges: Simple assault and harassment. Location: 600 block of Fox Fields Road. Date: June 25 at 9:50 p.m.
  • 31-year-old male, 9500 block of Glenloch Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: June 26 at 7:08 p.m., incident occurred on June 23.
  • 31-year-old male, 9500 block of Glenloch Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: June 26 at 7:08 p.m.
  • 40-year-old male, 1400 block of Virginia Avenue, Havertown. Charges: Possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: June 26 at 7:08 p.m.
