Haverford Crime Blotter: Fleeing Police, Vandalism, Identity Theft

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter Wednesday.

Incidents i the blotter occurred between March 30 and April 5.

INCIDENTS

• Fraud at Bryn Mawr Terrace, 700 block of Haverford Road, on March 30 at 5:25 p.m. – Victim reported multiple unauthorized transactions on his bank account.
• Fraud at the 200 block of E. Marthart Avenue on March 31 at 7:57 a.m. – Victim reported that a check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
• Vandalism at Waterford Apartments, 1900 block of Lawrence Road, on April 1 at 8:04 p.m. – Victim discovered paint transferred to his vehicle and scratches to the roof and hood.
• Vandalism at the 200 block of Merwood Lane on April 1 at 9:34 p.m. – Windowpane on the victim’s door was kicked in.
• Identity Theft at the 300 block of Sagamore Road on April 4 at 10:18 a.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to enroll in health benefits.
• Identity Theft at the 1400 block of Windsor Park Lane on April 5 at 4:52 p.m. – Someone used the victim’s identity to file for unemployment benefits.
• Criminal Mischief at the 500 block of Mill Road on April 5 at 9:56 p.m. – Glass was thrown on the victim’s driveway.

ARRESTS

• 27-year-old male, 4700 block of James Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft and receiving stolen property. Location: Ardmore Exxon, 2400 block of Haverford Road. Date: March 30 at 5:15 p.m., incident occurred on March 10.
• 61-year-old male, 200 block of Sanford Road, Upper Darby. Charges: Accidents involving injury, recklessly endangering another person,
• reckless driving and careless driving. Location: 200 block of Mill Road. Date: March 31 at 4:01 p.m.
• 49-year-old female, 3200 block of Township Line Road, Drexel Hill. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Manoa Shopping Center, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: April 2 at 7:35 p.m.
• 29-year-old male, 1300 block of Foulkrod Street, Philadelphia. Charges: DUI, attempting to elude officers, accident involving injury, endangering the welfare of children, Suspended driver’s license, careless driving, improper child restraint and duties at a stop sign. Location: Haverford Road and Bus Route. Date: April 4 at 6:22 p.m., incident occurred on March 31.
• 40-year-old male, 100 block of Abbey Terrace, Drexel Hill. Charges: Warrant. Location: 1700 block of West Chester Pike. Date: April 4 at 2256 hours
• 15-year-old male was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Simple assault and harassment. Location: 600 block of Grand Avenue. Date: April 5 at 8:09 a.m.
