Haverford Crime Blotter: Forgery, Theft, Terroristic Threats, More

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter recently.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between June 15 and June 21.

The blotter also features arrests and citations issued.

INCIDENTS:

• Bicycle Theft at the Haverford Middle School, 1700 block of Darby Road, on June 15 at 7:21 p.m.
• Bicycle Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on June 16 at 5:49 p.m.
• Fraud at The Bakery House, 600 block of W. Lancaster Avenue, on June 16 at 9:52 a.m. – A customer paid for $13 worth of items with a counterfeit $100 bill.
• Fraud at the 2100 block of Parkview Drive on June 16 at 1:46 p.m. – Victim reported that someone gained access to her Amazon account and purchased three iPhones.
• Identity Theft at the 500 block of Misty Hollow Court on June 16 at 10:30 a.m. – Victim reported that an unknown person attempted to open a TD Bank account using his identity.
• Fraud at the 300 block of Greenbriar Lane on June 17 at 9:05 a.m. – Victim reported eleven unauthorized withdraws made from his bank account.
• Identity Theft at the 2000 block of Darby Road on June 17 at 4:50 p.m. – A checking account was opened using the victim’s identity.
• Theft at the 600 block of Valley View Road on June 18 at 9:28 a.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Bicycle Theft at Veterans Field, unit block of Manoa Road, on June 18 at 4:56 p.m.
• Public Drunkenness at Burger King, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on June 18 at 1:49 a.m. – 23-year-old male, 1100 block of Garfield Avenue was cited for public drunkenness.
• Public Drunkenness at Hollow Run Apartments, 1900 block of West Chester Pike, on June 18 at 1:18 p.m. – 52-year-old female, 600 block of Frazier Street, Philadelphia was cited for public drunkenness.
• Criminal Mischief at the 200 block of Sagamore Road on June 19 at 10:52 p.m. – Victim reported multiple dents and scratches on the hood of her vehicle.
• Criminal Mischief at the 1400 block of Darby Road on June 19 at 10:25 p.m. – Three juveniles knocked on the victim's door and fled. The knocking caused one of the windows on the front door to break.
• Fraud at the 1200 block of Dill Road on June 20 at 1:58 p.m. – Victim reported $9,205.94 of unauthorized purchases made from his bank account.
• Theft at Panera Bread, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on June 21 at 8:49 p.m. – Victim reported that her wallet was taken from her table while she left it unattended. Over $1,000 in purchases were made with the credit cards before they were cancelled.
• Theft at the 100 block of Wyndmoor Road on June 21 at 1:10 p.m. – Prescription medication was reported missing.
• Forgery at the unit block of Braeburn Road on June 21 at 12:40 p.m. – Two checks were altered and cashed after they were mailed.
• Forgery at the unit block of Fawn Lane on June 21 at 12:50 p.m. – A check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
• Identity Theft at the 100 block of West Chester Pike on June 21 at 5:24 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to open a checking account.
• Identity Theft at the 200 block of E. Township Line Road on June 21 at 4:05 p.m. – Someone used the victim’s identity to purchase a new vehicle.

ARRESTS:

• 41-year-old male, 6600 block of Church Lane, Upper Darby. Charges: DUI, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: June 16 at 4:12 p.m.
• 38-year-old male, 800 block of Naylors Run Road, Havertown. Charges: DUI. Location: Steel Road and Furlong Avenue. Date: June 16 at 10:25 a.m.
• 56-year-old male, unit block of Castle Rock Drive, Havertown. Charges: DUI. Location: unit block of Castle Rock Drive. Date: June 17 at 11:46 p.m.
• 39-year-old male, 200 block of Lynn Road, Ridley Park. Charges: Retail theft, criminal conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: June 17 at 4:22 p.m.
• 37-year-old male, 100 block of Kern Road, York. Charges: Retail theft, criminal conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: June 17 at 4:22 p.m.
• 23-year-old male, 400 block of Carol Boulevard, Upper Darby. Charges: Simple assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, possessing an instrument of crime, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: West Chester Pike and Darby Road. Date: June 17 at 1:25 p.m.
• 44-year-old male, 4700 block of Lieper Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail Theft, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: June 21 at 6:50 p.m.
• 34-year-old male, 4000 block of Presidential Boulevard, Philadelphia. Charges: Forgery, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and bad checks. Location: unit block of Upland Road. Date: June 21 at 2:33 p.m., incident occurred on April 18.
