Haverford Crime Blotter: Fraud, Graffiti, Theft, More
Two separate instances of fraud resulted in nearly $30,000 being stolen, police said. See details on these incidents and more here.
HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter Wednesday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between Jan. 26 and Feb. 1.
The blotter also includes citations issued in the past week.

- Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Jan. 26 at 8:50 p.m. – Victim reported that his rear windshield wiper was stolen from his vehicle.
- Fraud at the 300 block of Crescent Hill Drive on Jan. 26 at 11:59 a.m. – Victim reported that two fraudulent checks were deposited into his bank account.
- Identity Theft at the 400 block of Hastings Avenue on Jan. 26 at 4:40 p.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a credit card account using his identity and made $11,000 in purchases.
- Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Jan. 27 at 8:30 a.m. – Loss prevention officer reported that the same actors stole $3,026.57 worth of merchandise on four separate incidents.
- Fraud at Havertown Roofing and Siding, unit block of West Hillcrest Avenue, on Jan. 27 at 9:51 a.m. – The business email account was hacked and emails were sent to customers requesting payments be made out to various Zelle and Venom accounts.
- Theft at the unit block of Hannum Drive on Jan. 28 at 5:36 p.m. – Vehicle was entered – radio, loose change, insurance card and vehicle registration was stolen.
- Fraud at the unit block of Waverly Road on Jan. 28 at 6:37 p.m. – Police received a report of a phone scam. The victim received a call from a person claiming to be from the Courthouse. They advised her that she missed jury duty and she needed to pay fines via Money Pak. The victim recognized the scam after she sent the money.
- Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Jan. 29 at 12:38 p.m. – An unknown male stole over $500 worth of groceries and fled the store.
- Fraud at the 400 block of Llanerch Avenue on Jan. 30 at 2:35 p.m. – Police received a report of an email scam. The victim received an email from a person claiming to be her friend. She requested that she purchase Google play gift cards and provide her with the card numbers.
- Vandalism at Giant, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on Jan. 30 at 8:34 p.m. – Vehicle window was broken.
- Theft at the 500 block of Kathmere Road on Jan. 31 at 2:13 p.m. – A contractor reported $400 worth of tools missing from a job site.
- Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Feb. 1 at 5:15 p.m. – Loss prevention officer reported that one unknown male stole $284.98 on Jan. 29 and the same actor and another unknown male stole $670 worth of merchandise on Jan. 30.
- Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Feb. 1 at 5 p.m. – An unknown male stole a Ninja blender.
- Fraud at the 800 block of Buck Lane on Feb. 1 at 1:42 p.m. – Victim reported that someone accessed his bank account and removed $10,000.
- Fraud at the 100 block of Golf Hills Road on Feb. 1 at 3:07 p.m. – Victim reported two fraudulent withdraws from his bank account. One was for $9,200 and the second was for $10,012.
- Criminal Mischief at Paddock Park, 200 block of West Hillcrest Avenue, on Feb. 1 at 10:20 p.m. – Graffiti was discovered.
