Haverford Crime Blotter: Thefts From Cars, $4,000 Scam, More
Police said two unlocked vehicles on the 2800 block of St. Mary's Road had items stolen. See details on these and more incidents here.
HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter recently.
Incident in the blotter occurred between Feb. 26 and March 3.
The blotter also features arrests made and citations issued recently.

- Theft at the Quadrangle, 3300 block of Darby Road, on Feb. 26 at 11:11 a.m. – Victim reported that she was scammed out of $4,000.
- Motor Vehicle Theft at U-Haul, unit block of E. Township Line Road, on Feb. 26 at 5:26 p.m.
- Identity Theft at the 200 block of Pickwick Road on Feb. 26 at 1:36 p.m. – Victim reported that a PayPal credit account was opened using her identity without her permission or knowledge.
- Identity Theft at the 700 block of Homestead Avenue on Feb. 26 at 1:59 p.m. – Two credit card accounts were opened using the victim’s identity without his permission or knowledge.
- Theft at Haverford High School, 200 block of Mill Road, on Feb. 27 at 12:46 p.m. – An unattended laptop was stolen from a gym bag outside of the weight room.
- Theft at the 400 block of Rittenhouse Circle on Feb. 27 at 3:21 p.m. – Registration plate was stolen from a vehicle.
- Motor Vehicle Theft at the 1200 block of West Chester Pike on Feb. 28 at 3:32 p.m.
- Theft at the 2800 block of St. Mary Road on March 1 at 11:27 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered - $10 worth of change was stolen.
- Theft at the 2800 block of St. Mary’s Road on March 1 at 11:37 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – loose change, potato chips and a soda was stolen.
- Attempted Theft at the 800 block of Cricket Avenue on March 1 at 8:05 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
- Vandalism at the 400 block of Glendale Road on March 1 at 12:35 p.m. – Driver side view mirror was damaged.
- Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on March 2 at 12:44 p.m. – 46-year-old female, 1000 block of Carrol Road, Wynnewood, was cited for the retail theft of $116 worth of merchandise.
- Fraud at the 700 block of Howard Avenue on March 2 at 9:55 a.m. – Victim reported that an unknown person made multiple unauthorized withdraws from his savings account.
- Attempted Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on March 3 at 4:52 p.m. – An unknown male attempted to return $500 worth of merchandise that he collected while in the store.
ARRESTS:
- 31-year-old male, 900 block of East 9th Street, Chester. Charges: Burglary, criminal trespass and theft by unlawful taking. Location: 700 block of Buck Lane. Date: Feb. 14 at 7:10 a.m., incident occurred on Jan. 31.
- 18-year-old male, 100 block of Saint Paul’s Road, Ardmore. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and duties at a stop sign. Location: 300 block of E. Eagle Road. Date: Feb. 22 at 5:32 p.m.
- 47-year-old male, 100 block of Glendale Road, Havertown. Charges: Tampering with Ignition Interlock. Location: 100 block of Glendale Road. Date: Feb. 25 at 2:20 p.m.
- 72-year-old male, 600 block of Darby Road, Havertown. Charges: Simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment and resisting arrest. Location: 600 block of Darby Road. Date: Feb. 26 at 5:38 p.m.
