HAVERTOWN— Two of Ms. Ward’s 10th grade students at Haverford High School will have poems published in the upcoming print edition of Philadelphia Stories, Jr. Ali Binder's poem "Pray for the People in Camden" and Anna Zachwieja's poem "Mama Said" will appear in the spring/summer edition of the magazine.
Students from Ms. Ward’s class spoke with the Executive Director of Philadelphia Stories, Jr., Ms. Weiser, and learned that hundreds of students submit their work for publication, but only a few were chosen for the print edition of the publication. Those that were considered for publication had been read multiple times by multiple editors who agreed that a work is worthy of publication.
