Haverford High Students Collect Diapers for Local Families.

Students asking the community to donate diapers, cash or coupons to any school in the School District of Haverford Township by Friday!

HAVERTOWN— The Haverford High School home economics class is collecting diapers for needy local families with their Stuff the Bus Diaper Dry’ve. They are asking the community to help them stuff the bus with diapers of all sizes. The drive ends in just a few days on Friday, October 24.

Students discovered that diapers cost more than $100 a month, and 3 out of 10 mothers can not afford an adequate supply of dry diapers. Students held a Diaper Jail event at the Haverford Giant and collected 8,000 diapers, but there is still room in the bus for more. They are also collecting coupons and cash. Every school in the district has a box to collect diapers. Diapers will be packed in a big yellow school bus parked at the High School and driven to the donation site.
