Haverford Holiday Window Contest People's Choice Winners Announced

The Haverford Partnership for Economic Development (HPED) recently announced winners of the "People's Choice" awards of the 2016 Holiday Window Display Contest.

After panel selection of three winners in each of five categories, the contest was opened to a public vote, with people choosing favorite displays by voting online on the HPED website from Dec. 21 through Dec. 31.

Out of 249 votes cast, the newly opened Renee James Boutique at 10 E. Eagle Road won first place with 107 votes for its festive holiday window display that beautifully highlights its clothes and accessories.

Velour Salon at 2126 Darby Rd placed second with 44 votes. This display tastefully coordinated indoor window lighting with festive outdoor arrangements.

An enthusiastic write-in campaign of 29 votes on behalf of the Jon Lauri Salon at 129 W. Eagle Road won third place. This display featured cheerful, hand-painted seasonal scenes that put a smile on your face.
