Delco Man Killed Burglar, Charged With Gun And Drug Crimes: Authorities
A 20-year-old Haverford man shot and killed a man who broke into a woman's apartment Monday, but was charged with gun and drug crimes.

HAVERFORD, PA — A Haverford man shot and killed a man in a Montgomery County apartment after authorities said the man forced his way into the property.
Travis Cummings, 20, of Haverford, shot Shafeeq Robbins, 28, of Norristown, after he broke into a woman's apartment Monday night, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said.
Robbins, authorities said, broke into the Norristown apartment of the mother of his child, who he was forbidden to have contact with.

Cummings was visiting the woman at the time of the shooting, authorities said.
Through interviews and surveillance video, detectives learned that at about 11:45 p.m., Cummings showed up to the apartment to visit the woman.

A few minutes later, Robbins forced his way through the door and confronted Cummings, striking him and grabbing him, authorities said.
Cummings fired one shot, striking Robbins in the chest, then fled the apartment, according to the DA's office.
Authorities said they learned Cummings disposed of several items in a white van after reviewing security footage and conducting interviews.
Police found a Glock semi-automatic handgun and a backpack containing crack cocaine, marijuana, drug-packaging materials and $2,200 cash.
Cummings was apprehended a short time later.
Cummings was charged with possession with intent to deliver, person not to possess a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, tampering with evidence and related charges.
While the homicide investigation is ongoing, he is not facing any murder or assault charges at this time.
Further circumstances of the shooting remain unclear.
Cummings is awaiting a preliminary hearing at Montgomery County Correctional Facility, where he is being held.
