"After a year off due to COVID, everyone is excited to get the party restarted," National Night Out founder Matt Peskin, of Wynnewood, said. "NNO brings neighbors and first-responders together under positive circumstances. It's a great night to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie."

National Night Out aims to heighten crime prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and; send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

This year's National Night Out will involve millions of people from 16,500 communities across the country from all 50 states.
