Haverford Police K9 Unit Wins Delco Police K9 Competition

Congratulations to Officer Doug Linker and K9 Jango for their win at the annual competition!

HAVERTOWN, PA – Call it home field advantage if you want, but you can't deny the skills Haverford Township Police Officer Doug Linker and K9 Jango as they emerged victors in the annual Delaware County Police K-9 Competition recently.

The annual competition was held Saturday, May 5 at the Haverford Middle School football field.

No only did the event show off police K9 unit skills, it also raise money for the family of Newtown Township Police Sgt. Clinton Cunningham's family. Haverford Police said $1,762 was generated for the late sergeant's family at the competition.

Overall, Linker and Jango were the winners of the competition.

The team placed first in the obstacle course event and third in both the article search and focused apprehension events.
