Haverford School Art, Drama, and Music Awards Announced

The chosen students were the best in their respective arts.

Haverford, PA – Haverford School Upper School students who have achieved a high level of success in their art, drama and music classes were recognized at an assembly in the School’s Centennial Hall.

The awards were broken down into three sets: Visual Art, Theater and String Orchestra.

Seniors of the Visual Art Award were Ryan Sanna, Oil Painting; Matthew Senior, Development as a Painter; and Alex Dillman, 3-D Senior Thesis Award.

Juniors included Brennan Kensey, Technique Development; and Aris Economou, 3-D Art Portfolio Award.

The sophomores were Ben Grobman, 2-D and 3-D Art; Keenan Mosimann, Excellence in the Art Studio; Tyler Ruch, Excellence in the Art Studio; Isaiah Jones, Ceramics Award; and J.J. House, Ceramics Award.

Freshmen were the largest group with six which included Austin Hepburn, Acrylic Painting; Greg Boyek, Creative Process; James Holston, Figure Drawing; Thomas Walker, Excellence in the Art Studio; Dan McGrath, Excellence in the Art Studio; and Nicholas Helber, 3-D Foundation Award.

The Theater Awards entailed a smaller group of one senior, two juniors, two sophomores and two freshmen.

The only Senior Theater Award winner was Justin Giorgio, Excellence in Theatre III. The two juniors were Peter Rogers, Underclassman Thespis Award; and Remi Yang, Underclassmen Haverford Drama Prize. Sophomores Michael Green and Max Schmidt won Excellence in Theatre II and freshmen, Paul Addonizio and Chris Wong won the Underclassmen Tech Theatre Award.

The String Orchestra Award winners were the smallest group with senior Changhee Han winning the Concertmaster Award; and senior Sachin Patel winning the Humanitarian Award. Sophomore Amar Patel and freshman Christman Henderer both won the Most Improved Player Award.
