School Board Lauds Educators, Counselor For 25 Years of Service
A total of six staff members were recognized.

Haverford Township Board of School Directors on Thursday night recognized educators and a school counselor for 25 years of professional service.
Superintendent William Keilbaugh and School Board President Denis Gray presented the awards to:
- Ann O’Brien, a Nebraska native, who taught second grade at for five years before becoming the school’s gifted support teacher.
- Angela Bruno, who joined the Haverford Township School District in 1985, and has spent the majority of those years teaching 6th grade at . She has also taught 8th grade. “She’s always been very helpful to everyone, a very positive influence,” Keilbaugh said of Bruno.
- Nancy Graham-Popiel, who came to the district in 1987, taught 5th grade at for 14 years before becoming a counselor at Lynnewood Elementary School. Keilbaugh said Graham-Popiel is “always child-centered, supportive of the staff, kids and families.”
- Joy Bennett, who has been with the district for 25 years as a special education teacher, has taught at the middle school and , and now teaches at .
Keilbaugh said Bennett is “resilient, outstanding and very, very supportive of all of our children.”

Two district employees who have served for 25 years, Natalie Hiller and Regina McClure, were not able to attend the school board meeting, but they were mentioned by Keilbaugh.
