Haverford School District Among State's Highest-Paying For Teachers

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — The School District of Haverford Township is one of the best places to be a teacher in the state, according to Niche.

Data compiler Niche recently released its list of the best places to teach in Pennsylvania.

Ranking factors included teacher salaries, teacher tenure, teacher absenteeism, student-teacher ratio, as well as the district's Niche grades for Overall, Administration, Safety, and Resources.

The School District of Haverford Township was ranked No. 18 for the best places to teach in the state.

And, Niche ranked the district at No. 9 among districts with the best teachers in Pennsylvania.

Patch recently reported the district was ranked 26th among all public school districts in Pennsylvania by Niche.

According to Niche, the average teacher salary at the district is $93,137.

Nearby, the average teacher salary at the Lower Merion School District is $117,364.

The highest teacher salary in the state is at Council Rock School District, where the average instructor makes $122,000 a year, according to Niche.
