Haverford School District Toy Drive Collects More Than 820 Musical Toys For CHOP Patients

A job well done to all those who donated and collected the toys.

Haverford Middle School choral teacher Jacqueline Langley organized a musical toy drive for children who are in-patients at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

The drive collected 825 musical toys for the patients, according to the School District of Haverford Township.

Langley said the idea to donate musical toys came when she had her son at CHOP. She said he was a bit restless but when staff brought him a light up toy drum, he ended up having a fun visit the to doctor.

The district-wide drive was held from November to Dec. 9.

Typically, the school donated money to music departments in Philadelphia generated from the MoreFM Christmas Choir competition.
