In May, The Haverford School Student Service Board held its annual Home Run Derby between students and faculty/staff to raise funds for prostate and testicular cancer research.
Students donated $3 each to dress down for the day and there were drawings for baseballs signed by Philadelphia Phillies players Shane Victorino and Jim Thome. Upper School Service Board members gathered with varsity baseball players following the derby.
