Haverford Tapes Off Playgrounds During Coronavirus Pandemic

In an effort to keep the public from using playground equipment, caution tape has been placed on all township playground equipment.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Authorities in Haverford Township has taped off all township playground equipment in response to the new coronavirus, or COVID-19, pandemic.

According to the township, use of all township playground equipment is prohibited until further notice.

Equipment was taped off as a further deterrent from people using it.

Additionally, all basketball, pickleball and tennis courts are closed, as well as the skate park at Merry Place.

The dog park is still open, but only 15 people will be allowed in at a time.

Haverford Township Police will be watching the parks to ensure the community complies with the closure orders.
