Haverford Township Looking To Fill Commision, Board Positions

Are you looking to become involved in the workings of Haverford Township? If so, the township wants to hear from you because over 25 positions on various board and commissions need to be filled, according to the township's website.

The following available positions are :

• Civil Service Commission– 1 Position;
• Environmental Advisory– 9 Positions, contact the Commissioner of your Ward;
• Friends of the Grange– 3 positions;
• Health Advisory Board– 1 position;
• Historical Commission– 2 positions;
• Human Relations Commission – 2 positions;
• Ice Rink Advisory Board– 3 positions;
• Library Board of Trustees– 1 position;
• Parks and Recreation – 1 position;
• Planning Commission– 2 positions;
• Senior Citizen's Advisory Council, contact the Commissioner of your Ward;
• Vacancy Committee– 1 position;
• Vacancy Property Review Committee– 1 position;
• Zoning Hearing Board – 1 position.

Additionally, township is looking to appoint one township solicitor and one township civil service solicitor and township engineer.

Those hoping for a appointment must send a letter stating the position in which they are interested in
serving, along with a resume or biographical information to Township Manager Lawrence J. Gentile, 2325 Darby Road, Havertown, PA 19083. Letters must be submitted no later than Monday, Oct. 31.

Incumbent appointees must also submit a letter to Gentile, stating their interest in being reappointed.

Save for ward and commissioner appoints and incumbent, all applications are expected to appear for interviews.
