Haverford Township School District to Take Bids for Storage Tank

The underground tank needs to be replaced because of its age.

The Haverford Township Board of School Directors on Thursday, Oct. 20, unanimously voted to authorize the preparation and advertisement of bid specifications for an underground fuel storage tank replacement at the school district’s Transportation Facility.

School board member Russell Bilotta said the tank, which is about 30 years old, needs to be replaced based on age and compliance issues.

School Board President Denis Gray said, “We’re slightly beyond the useful life and before we regret it, we’re going to replace it.”
