Havertown Ice Cream Spot Among Region's Best: Philly Magazine

HAVERTOWN, PA — In case you've missed it: it's very hot outside.

And one of the best ways to get respite from this oppressive heat is a nice scoop (or two or three) of ice cream.

But where in the region can you get the best ice cream?

Luckily, Philadelphia Magazine published a new list of the best ice cream places in and around Philadelphia.

Philly Mag named Havertown's Koffmeyer’s as one of the region's best.

Here's what the publication says about the shop, located at 7 Brookline Boulevard in Havertown:

This longtime Society Hill cookie bakery moved to the suburbs in 2011 and added Pennsylvania-made Leiby’s ice cream to its offerings at the same time, somehow making an already-perfect menu even better.

A few other Main Line spots made the cut as well, including Hope’s Country Fresh Cookies in Bryn Mawr, 1-900-ICE-CREAM in Ardmore, and Handel’s in Berwyn.
