Havertown Man Left Mentally Handicapped Ward Alone In Street: Police
Police in Chester County said Bangalee Sarnor, of Havertown, left a mentally handicapped man he was taking care of alone in a street.
HAVERTOWN, PA — A Havertown man was arrested over the weekend after authorities said he on left a mentally handicapped man he was taking care of alone in Chester County.
Bangalee Sarnor, 38, is in Chester County Prison in lieu of $10,000 Monday after being arraigned on charges of abuse of care of a dependent person and recklessly endangering another person.
The Westtown-East Goshen regional police department responded at 8:03 p.m. Sunday to a call on the 1600 block of Margo Lane.

When they arrived, police said, they found a mentally handicapped male in the middle of the street.
After returning the male to his residence, officers began to search for the caretaker.

Upon further investigation, they observed a male passed out in the front seat of a vehicle in the driveway and began to actively try to wake the individual up.
Once awake, the suspect was uncertain of where he was and officers could detect a strong odor of alcohol.
Subsequently, Sarnor was taken into police custody.
