Heroin, Crack, Guns Seized After Undercover Investigation: Delco DA
A Yeadon man is charged after authorities found more than 2,000 bags of heroin, 366 grams of meth, and other drugs during a search warrant.
YEADON, PA — A months-long undercover drug investigation led to more than 2,000 bags of heroin, hundreds of grams of meth, crack, guns, and more being seized in Delaware County.
Tyrone Gilbert, 36, of Yeadon, was arrested and charged Thursday, May 26 as a result of a months-long undercover investigation into drug trafficking by the Delaware County Drug Task Force and the Yeadon Police Department.
Gilbert was taken into custody May 26 with a substantial quantity of drugs, weapons and ammunition, as well as cash and drug paraphernalia, Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer said.

He has been charged with the possession and delivery of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, as well as firearms charges.
“The members of law enforcement who painstakingly put together the case against this defendant are to be commended. As I have said before, this is dangerous work that requires both skill and patience. We are incredibly fortunate to have the talented professionals who serve as members of the County’s Drug Task Force. They work every day to get both illegal narcotics and guns out of our communities in an effort to keep our residents safe,” said District Attorney Stollsteimer.

On the morning of May 26, the Delaware County Drug Task Force and the Yeadon Borough Police Department executed a search warrant at 1506 Patricia Drive and 1048 Serrill Ave., both in Yeadon.
Both properties were leased/owned by Gilbert, and he was at the Patricia Drive address.
A search warrant was also executed on Gilbert's car, a 2016 Nissan Altima.
The search resulted in the seizure of:
- 366 grams methamphetamine;
- 77 grams crack cocaine;
- 170 bundles of heroin (14 bags to a bundle);
- marijuana;
- two semi-automatic handguns with loaded magazines;
- $6,200 in U.S. currency;
- and drug Paraphernalia.
"I want to commend the members of the Delaware County Drug Task Force, led by Criminal Investigation Division Sgt. Anthony Ruggeri and Deputy District Attorney Laurie Moore," Stollsteimer said. "I would also like to specifically commend the hard work of Yeadon Detective (and Task Force member) Leah M. Cesanek for her tireless efforts in investigating this illegal narcotics operation."
Gilbert was arraigned and bail was set at 10 percent of $1 million.
He has been remanded to the George W. Hill Correctional Facility and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on June 8.
