Hit-And-Run Hurts Haverford Sanitation Worker Thursday: Officials
Haverford Township Manager David Burman said residents on Leedom Road leaped into action to help the sanitation employee after the crash.
HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — A Haverford Township sanitation employee was struck by a hit-and-run driver Thursday.
Township Manager David Burman on social media said the incident occurred Thursday morning in the area of Leedom Road.
Residents in the area assisted the worker after he was hurt in the crash.

"Your actions not only helped an individual in distress but also demonstrated the strength and compassion of our community," Burman said in the post. "As a Township employee, the victim is a valued member of our community, and your caring support highlights the spirit that binds us all together."
There is no word on the worker's condition.
