HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter recently.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between Aug. 16 and Aug. 21.
The blotter also includes citations issued.

- Theft at Wyndmoor Apartments, 100 block of S. Eagle Road, on Aug. 16 at 10:46 p.m. – Victim reported that a package was stolen after it was delivered.
- Identity Theft at the 2900 block of Belmont Avenue on Aug. 16 at 2:21 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to file for unemployment benefits.
- Fraud at Haverford Hills, 400 block of Glendale Road, on Aug. 17 at 4:17 p.m. – Victim observed two unauthorized PayPal transactions on her checking account. She called a number for PayPal that she located online. She provided them with a photo of her driver’s license and her CashApp information to be refunded the money. The victim became aware of the scam when she discovered an additional $2,990 was removed from her account.
- Fraud at the 2600 block of Belmont Avenue on Aug. 19 at 3:57 p.m. – Victim received an email from someone claiming to be from PayPal regarding a fraudulent charge. They advised her to authorize them remote access to her computer so she could be reimbursed. The victim entered the amount $350 to be refunded but they changed it to $35,000 and advised her to return the money via a wire transfer.
- Bicycle Theft at Haverford Hills, 400 block of Glendale Road, on Aug. 21 at 10:15 p.m.
- Identity Theft at the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue on Aug. 21 at 5:25 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used the victim’s identity to file for unemployment benefits.
- Fraud at the 1500 block of Lawrence Road on Aug. 21 at 9:02 p.m. – Victim reported that a person known to him accessed his cash app and sent themselves $1,200.
