Indecent Exposure, Fraud, DUI, Theft, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford released information on recent crimes in the township.

Incidents in the latest crime blotter occurred between Aug. 21 and Sept. 3.

The blotter also features arrests made and citations issued.

Incidents

• Criminal Mischief at the 400 block of Pilgrim Lane on Aug. 21 at 11:07 a.m. – Business window was broken.
• Criminal Mischief at the unit block of W. Hillcrest Avenue on Aug. 21 at 9:02 a.m. – First floor window was shattered.
• Theft at the 100 block of N. Lexington Avenue on Aug. 21 at 7:13 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – a wallet containing approximately $500 worth of gift cards was stolen.
• Retail Theft at Wawa, unit block of E. Eagle Road, on Aug. 22 at 10:35 a.m. – An unknown male stole six Monster energy drinks.
• Theft at the 1300 block of Steel Road on Aug. 23 at 3:02 p.m. – Three tool bags containing $400 worth of tools were stolen from the driveway.
• Theft at the Quadrangle, 3300 block of Darby Road, on Aug. 23 at 1:39 p.m. – A resident reported that two checks were fraudulently cashed. Total loss was $5,000.
• Theft at Rita’s, unit block of W. Eagle Road, on Aug. 24 at 12:18 p.m. – A generator was stolen from the side of the business.
• Public Drunkenness at Wine and Spirits Store, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Aug. 25 at 12:56 p.m. – 35-year-old male, 200 block of Pickwick Road, was cited for public drunkenness.
• Criminal Mischief at Direct Paint and Collision, 1000 block of N. Eagle Road, on Aug. 26 at 11:36 a.m. – A group of juveniles threw three rocks at a vehicle, causing dents and scratches.
• Bicycle Thefts at the 800 block of Aubrey Avenue on Aug. 26 at 12:48 p.m.
• Theft at the 500 block of Cumberland Road on Aug. 27 at 7:49 p.m. – Victim reported that someone accessed his American Airlines account and redeemed 52,500 of his mileage points, totaling $525.
• Theft at the 1400 block of Lawrence Road on Aug. 27 at 6:41 p.m. – Two packages were stolen from the front porch after they were delivered.
• Identity Theft at the 600 block of Beechwood Drive on Aug. 28 at 1:55 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to open four accounts with energy companies.
• Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Aug. 28 at 12:07 p.m. – An unknown female stole $235.83 worth of merchandise.
• Identity Theft at the 300 block of Fairlamb Avenue on Aug. 29 at 11:57 a.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a Verizon account using his identity.
• Theft at the 300 block of Kathmere Road on Aug. 29 at 5 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – a backpack containing a laptop and work files was stolen.
• Criminal Mischief at the 2200 block of County Line Road on Aug. 30 at 7:15 p.m. – Vehicle was keyed.
• Fraud at the 1600 block of Delmont Avenue on Aug. 30 at 2:14 p.m. – The victim received a call from a person claiming to be her grandson. He stated that he was in an accident and needed money for bail. The victim went to the bank to withdraw the money. The bank teller became suspicious and suggested the victim call the police.
• Identity Theft at the 300 block of Buck Lane on Aug. 30 at 7:58 a.m. – Victim reported that someone attempted to open two credit card accounts using his identity.
• Theft at the 100 block of Buck Lane on Aug. 30 at 5:47 p.m. – Victim reported that several attempts have been made to cash checks from his checking account.
• Bicycle Theft at the 700 block of Lawson Avenue on Aug. 30 at 6:20 p.m.
• Theft at the unit block of Taylor Lane on Aug. 30 at 3:58 p.m. – Victim reported that she observed an envelope opened in her mailbox. A check had been removed from the envelope.
• Theft at the 700 block of Millbrook Lane on Aug. 30 at 11:23 a.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Theft at the 800 block of Clifford Avenue on Aug. 30 at 10:33 a.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Theft at the 700 block of Cricket Avenue on Aug. 30 at 4:22 p.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Theft at the 2900 block of Berkley Road on Aug. 30 at 8:15 a.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Criminal Mischief at the 1200 block of Bon Air Road on Aug. 31 at 12:43 a.m. – A juvenile damaged a fence.
• Theft at the 700 block of Buck Lane on Aug. 31 at 8:46 a.m. – License plate was stolen from a vehicle.

• Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Sept. 2 at 10:08 a.m. – An unknown female stole $260.01 worth of groceries.
• Criminal Mischief at the 600 block of Georges Lane on Sept. 3 at 6:50 a.m. – 29-year-old male, unit block of Franklin Avenue, Phoenixville was cited for disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.
• Identity Theft at the 2400 block of Olcott Avenue on Sept. 3 at 1:14 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to attempt to apply for a debit card for her bank account.
• Theft at K&S Towing, 1300 block of Lawrence Road, on Sept. 3 at 10:12 a.m. – License plate was stolen.
• Theft at the 800 block of Cricket Avenue on Sept. 3 at 1:55 p.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Counterfeiting at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Aug. 31 at 11:25 a.m. – An unknown male purchased gift cards with counterfeit $20 bills.

• 49-year-old male, 900 block of Duncannon Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: DUI, unregistered vehicle, no insurance or driver’s license. Location: Darby and Manoa Roads. Date: Aug. 23 at 2:40 a.m.
• 29-year-old male, 1200 block of Marlyn Road, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft and receiving stolen property. Location: Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Aug. 25 at 9:31 a.m.
• 48-year-old male, 700 block of Cherry Tree Road, Upper Chichester. Charges: Indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and open lewdness. Location: unit block of E. Park Road. Date: Aug. 26 at 7:52 a.m.
• 31-year-old male, 6400 block of Garman Street, Philadelphia. Charges: DUI, unregistered vehicle, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: Darby Road and Media Avenue. Date: Aug. 28 at 12:31 p.m.
